IoT - Internet Of Things Creating New Opportunity

The IoT has power to transform the business of any industry. It can improve employee efficiency, deliver better customer experiences, and track supply chain.

As technology grows, IoT solutions will change the way we live, work and do business. IoT is a combination of hardware like sensors, connectors, gateways and an application software in a single system. IoT devices can communicate each other and with an IoT Hub, which could be a server or mobile app. A Hub collect the details from all IoT devices, analyse it to provide meaningful output.

Benefit of IoT

The tiny sensor can be attached to everything from LED Bulb to self driving cars, which can records data and can send it to server for analysis. In such a way manufacturer can improve their products. Sometimes it can be used as a feedback of instruments by which companies detect reason for inefficiencies and problems sooner, saving time and money both.

IoT has potential to improve automation, industrial control, quality control, supply chain trace ability, over all efficiency and asset performance. Thus every business process can become more intelligent.

Now a days smart building and smart cities are on booming , IoT has good scope in this area.

The Fist "MADE IN INDIA" Microprocessor Developed by SHAKTI at IIT ,Madras

Last week History created, The IIT, Madras has built very first Microprocessor chip. Its a Hallmark breakthrough for Indian Computing.

A group of engineers from the Institute has managed to develop and boot up first indigenously microprocessor for using mobile computing and wireless systems.

Accordingly, the statement from IIT, Madras, This New "SHAKTI" processor can be used in place of an imported processor as they are international standards and they were fabricated at Indian Space Research Organisation's (ISRO) Semiconductor Laboratory, Chandigarh. This is the RISC V microprocessor completely designed in India.

Another important part of this SHAKTI microprocessor is that it is less vulnerable to system infected from the back doors and hardware Trojans. Hence it can be used in government agencies, Defence and Nuclear Power.

Prof. Kamakoti said The 180nm Fabrication facility at SCL, Chandigarh is very crucial in getting these cores manufacturing within India.

The Shakti Processors allow for various clock speed for different application and also having power modes ideal for wireless application. The entire project was funded by the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology. Now the truth is that India will not depend on Imported Processors.
